HYPOTHESIS: the official implied NOP and 27 stable undocumented NOP encodings leave A/X/Y/P and writable memory unchanged, but they are not interchangeable one-byte operations. Immediate, zero-page, zero-page-X, absolute, and absolute-X encodings consume different byte counts; memory-addressed forms perform a read and abs,X pays a page-cross cycle.
