HYPOTHESIS: the official $EA and six stable undocumented one-byte NOPs must not inherit the immediate or memory NOP bus paths merely because they share a mnemonic. Each operand-free encoding should fetch the opcode, read PC+1 without incrementing PC, and make no architectural mutation.
